Results usually last three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles, hormones and skincare habits. Regular waxing can lengthen intervals as hair grows back finer; individual regrowth varies, so follow-up appointments are scheduled accordingly.
Some clients experience brief discomfort during waxing, but techniques reduce pain. We use soothing waxes, pressure and aftercare to minimize irritation. Avoid caffeine and take ibuprofen if needed; topical numbing can be used for very sensitive clients on request.
Ensure hair is about a quarter inch long so wax can grip; exfoliate gently 48 hours before your appointment. Avoid retinoids, chemical peels, sunburn and fresh self-tanning. Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.
We assess skin condition before waxing. Sensitive and mild acne-prone skin can often be waxed using gentle products and patch tests, but active cystic acne, open wounds or severe rosacea may require postponing or alternative hair removal methods.
Apply a cool compress and calming gel after waxing; avoid sun, heavy makeup and exfoliation for 24 hours. After 48 to 72 hours gently exfoliate to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth, healthy skin.
Schedule waxing every three to six weeks depending on your personal hair growth cycle and lifestyle. Regular appointments encourage finer regrowth and can extend time between sessions; your esthetician will recommend a tailored schedule.
