Get answers to common questions about Shirobasti (60 min).
Yes, Shirobasti (60 min) is generally safe for most hair and scalp types. We evaluate your scalp condition and adapt oils and duration; clients with open wounds, severe eczema, or active infections should avoid it until healed.
Arrive with clean, dry hair if possible and avoid heavy styling products. Inform us of allergies or medications. Allow time to relax; the session includes a 30-minute oil retention under the herbal cap followed by gentle removal and scalp care.
Some oil residue may remain immediately after treatment, but we gently cleanse or advise a mild shampoo after a few hours. Oils are absorbed over time to nourish scalp, leaving hair healthier rather than persistently greasy.
For maintenance and ongoing benefits, many clients schedule Shirobasti every 2–4 weeks. Frequency depends on hair goals, scalp condition, and response; our therapists recommend a personalized plan after initial assessment.
Minor temporary effects can include mild oiliness, transient headache, or heightened sensitivity. Rare allergic reactions to herbal oils can occur—patch testing or disclosure of known allergies prevents problems. Contact us if you experience prolonged irritation.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding require caution. Many oils and thermal therapies are modified or avoided. Please disclose pregnancy or nursing status at booking so we can recommend safe alternatives or obtain practitioner approval before performing Shirobasti.
