Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Pada Abhyangam (60 min).

During your session we soak and clean the feet, then apply warmed oil and ghee. The therapist uses rhythmic kneading and pressure techniques to ease tension, soothe nerves, and relieve pain. Expect gentle stretching and a calming, restorative experience lasting about sixty minutes.

We use natural oils and ghee, and can adapt blends for sensitive or allergy-prone skin. Please inform your therapist of allergies beforehand. We recommend a brief patch test when needed, and will choose hypoallergenic oils or shorten contact time accordingly.

Arrive with clean feet and wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows ankle access. Avoid heavy meals or alcohol before the appointment. Inform us of recent injuries, medications, or circulatory conditions so the therapist can tailor pressure, oils, and technique for your safety.

Pada Abhyangam is not recommended for open wounds, acute infections, severe peripheral vascular disease, deep vein thrombosis, uncontrolled diabetes, or recent foot surgery. Pregnant clients should consult their doctor. Tell us about medical issues so we can adjust or advise appropriately.

Frequency depends on your needs: weekly sessions can relieve acute pain, while biweekly or monthly treatments maintain results. A short course is often recommended initially, then reduced as symptoms improve. Your therapist will assess progress and recommend a tailored schedule.

Pada Abhyangam can ease symptoms of chronic foot pain and mild neuropathy by improving circulation and calming nerve irritation. It is supportive care, not a cure. Consult your physician for underlying conditions; we can coordinate treatment to complement medical management.
